Just released on CNBC following conversations at a POTUS luncheon. He's going to propose passage via reconciliation if Dems refuse to cooperate.

EXCLUSIVE: Trump to center SOTU on working families with sweeping economic case
Trump is set to address Congress at 9 pm EST Tuesday

EXCLUSIVE: President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address will put the economy front and center, pairing working-family guests with a data-driven case on affordability — while also making economic policy announcements, Fox News Digital learned.

Trump is slated to begin his speech at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time Tuesday evening from the U.S. Capitol. The State of the Union is equal parts constitutional check-in between the president and Congress, as well as a political showcase that gives the president a national stage to claim wins and set the agenda for the coming year.

The 2026 address will be forward-looking but rooted in what the White House described as measurable progress on cost-of-living pressures, with Trump expected to list off statistics and data on the economy following the sky-high inflation rates of the Biden administration, while showcasing everyday Americans who have benefited from Trump policies, Fox News Digital learned.

"President Trump's State of the Union Address will celebrate 250 glorious years of our nation's independence and excellence, highlighting incredible stories of American heroes throughout the speech," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital ahead of the speech.

If there’s anything we’ve learned over the last year, there’s enough fraud, waste, and abuse for a significant reduction in taxes for taxpayers

Between fraud, waste, and borrowing money, there should be no personal income tax.

Good.

This falls under the umbrella of "economy" for most people. The polls say people care about economic issues the most.

Last on the list is foreign policy. People are not only against the war with Iran and it's last on the list of issues that people care about. Foreign policy polls about 1%. People are mostly irritated by military intervention because they see money being spent on foreign nations instead of being spent on ourselves.

I lump tariffs and corporate taxes into similar categories. So I guess the question I'd ask is if we can raise the same amount of money via tariffs, and cut domestic corporate taxes, is that problematic?

Cutting personal income tax is great.

If we want to provide financial assistance to corporations it should be focused on incentivizing them to hire American citizens.

But what I suspect will happen is whatever gets proposed for personal income tax cuts will be reduced when it hits the floor and the only real winner here will be corporations who own congress and will continue to outsource roles overseas.

I sincerely hope to be proven wrong, but Washington DC does not give a flying flip about any of us.

I am kind of tired of people who pay nothing into taxes are getting tax returns, anything that can stop that from happening I am good with.
