If he's there @ 8 you just have to take him. There I said it.

I don't think anyone here would have a problem with that.

He and Delane are tied for 4th on my list.
1. Bailey
2. Reese
3. Bain
4. Delane and Downs

I'm on the Downs boat. I think there is more long term value in Downs than Love. Very safe pick on a potential franchise player that can be the QB of the defensive backfield and also help on Special Teams. Very high football IQ.

I’ll be fine with that. As long as no Love or Lemon

Hoping Minn and Mia trade up and take QB’s so some of those names drop to us

Lets hope the top two tackles go early as well.

Lemon’s game and ability look too similar to for Willie Snead to me. He has better hands than Snead, but looks slow and doesn’t seem to have much that elite burst guts his size need for the pro game. He’s great college wr, but he looks like a guy that won’t produce similar numbers at the NFL level.

Close to mine.
1. Bailey
2. Reese
3. Downs
4. Fano or Delane or Tate
I just can’t get behind Bain. He did squat during the season. Now they are saying he will have bad measurables too. Too many questions for 1.8.

Relieving to finally discuss not taking a rb at 8. Downs imo is the best player in the draft. Meaning he has 0 weaknesses. To me he’s a can’t miss prospect but i run into similar feelings as i do love. The safety position is tough to draft so early. If Reese, Bain, Bailey are all gone Downs has to be the pick id assume. Styles, Delane, Downs would be how the board would look if i had to guess. The one player nobody is talking about that could be up there is Faulk. His upside is crazy and hes the 5 tech we need. With that being said instantly running to the podium and screaming Downs is a realistic possibility.

I kind of think he'll be gone by the Saints pick.
A team that I could see taking him is the Giants at #5.
John Harbaugh inherited Ed Reed but also drafted Kyle Hamilton later on in the 1st round.
I'm sure he can appreciate the chance at picking a stud safety when he sees one.

Because he is very similar to Olave in size and play style

1. Bailey
2. Reese
3. Downs
4. Fano or Delane or Tate
I expect 1 2 3 to be gone. And at least one of those last three.

Best all around football player in this draft. plug and play for years. Our D is good, he will make it better.
Theres a reason he started for Saban as a freshman with 100 tackles and was All american all 3 years.

Agree. But he won’t be. Bain also in that category.

Agreed. I'd rather roll with AK, Keandre & Neal again than pick a RB @ 8.
Hell, I'd rather pick the best guard @ 8 than a RB.

This comment kinda baffles me. When you actually look at his numbers this year.
“put together a complete, high-impact season as the centerpiece of Miami’s front, finishing with 46 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks. His 21 havoc plays placed him as the most disruptive defender, pairing consistent backfield penetration with strong run integrity, as evidenced by his 79.3% run-tackle rate and eight credited run stops. As a pass rusher, Bain generated a staggering 80 total pressures, good for a sterling 13.1% pressure rate, while creating 10 sacks overall and forcing a fumble in the process. Bain averaged a blistering time-to-pressure of 2.71 seconds while posting an elite 92.4 pass-rush grade.”
He was coached by J Taylor and him and Messidor are technical freaks. They are the most polished pass rushers in this draft when it comes to technique.

You pass on Downs no matter who is on the board
Dude has zero elite traits. Size and speed are just average.
Not top ten worthy.
