Billions of dollars is spent on homeless and somehow they leave children to be stranded on the streets of Skid Row.

That woman and her son are not migrants, but no American should have to live on the street. Where has all of the Federal money gone that was entrusted to California? They bend over backwards to give everything free to people here illegally. It's a damn shame.

I always thought “skid row” was an economic condition that could be anywhere. I just learned that Skid Row is an actual place.

Not always the case. That mother and child jumped at the chance when given the means to do so. What they will do when the money runs out is not known. I do believe in helping people (Americans) in need to get back on their feet, but it should not be a lifelong endeavor.
