Any of y'all tried this? I'm going to try it today. Any advice is appreciated.

Isn't all sausage ground?
Yeah, I suppose so, but I mean like patty style instead of link style.

Yeah i do that a lot on the flat grill. My meat processor put the ground in tubes and i'll freeze it for about 30 minutes before i serve and i can slice off perfectly formed patties.

Gotcha... sounds tasty... but wouldn't it be too crumbly to grill?

Try Best Stop Supermarket in Scott, LA for sausage stuffed burger patties. Fantastic!

I thought I would use the folding screen deal that you're supposed to use for vegetables.

That sounds great, but it's a bit out of my way back from the store.

I mix green onion sausage with my chuck sometimes for burgers. Very good.

I have done it many times with breakfast sausage and Italian sausage and it turns out marvelously. Smoked sausage is too hard to make a patty out of.

I think they deliver now. We have locations in Houston now which is nice. If you do order anything I recommend the boudin balls as well because they're

Even in their casing I remove the casing and make little sausage bites. You can't do it with smoked sausages but you can with freshly ground sausage. Everyone loves them that way.

Breakfast sausage is what I mean to use.

Have cooked those on the grill at the LSU tailgate a few times when we played Northwestern State ("Demons" = hot sausage).
They are not like breakfast sausage patties; they stay together well on a grill. And delicious with cheese (like a cheeseburger) on a bun.
And of course, a good hot sausage po-boy (but the patties are usually cooked on a griddle for that)...

I like a good spicy deer sausage burger covered in Steen's on white bread with mayo. Makes a helluva duck blind breakfast.

Ground deer/pork sausage on a pit is amazing.
