Crime thriller that takes place in and around the Navajo reservation.

Episode 1 dropped on February 15th.

8 episodes total to be released every Sunday through April 5th.

I've seen all three of the previous seasons.

A 5th season has already been green lit.

Same. We enjoy the show. Has a bit of a Longmire feel to it.

Also has a surprisingly good soundtrack.

Seasons 1-3 are on Netflix.

Highly recommend.

It is on AMC, which is part of my YouTube TV base package. I have it set to DVR, so episode 1 was recorded for me.

Otherwise, you need AMC+.

I strongly dislike the time between seasons.

I can't remember the outcome of the Jenna Elfman character going after Leaphorn for the death of the dude that was responsible for the death of his son...

Seasons 1 - 3 are available on Netflix if you subscribe to that.

I’m interested in seeing how it continues without Robert Redford and just GRRM.

Also, interesting to see Linda Hamilton pop up in the role she’s in this season.

GRRM

I thought he would've stuck closer to the books

She specifically told him she knew what he did , but couldn't prove it in a court of law. Will she come back? Idk.

Watched the first two episodes, very strong start to the season. Better than last season imo. Show is very well done. My favorite show on right now.

Finally got around to starting this series. Four episodes of 8 are available.

Linda Hamilton appeared only once in the first two episodes.

She is the wife of the sheriff (Gordo).

Anybody read the Tony Hillerman books that this show is based on? I'm a fan of the books and was curious if it stuck pretty close to the source.

Wife and I are on S3 currently on Netflix. We also really love this show. We are huge fans of the Southeast and go to Santa Fe several times a year, so that also makes it special to us. It's fun to see a lot of places we've been. Love the S2 cameo of GRRM and RR in the jail cell playing chess (though GRRM should be writing, damnit!).

I used to read the hell out of Tony Hillerman books. I had jury duty for four days before I go cut and actually read Dark Winds while waiting. Really good one.

It does seem like they changed up the characters though.

Wish I had done that. I'm having a hard time waiting for Episode 5 to drop. Looks like it will be out tomorrow.

One thing I like about the show is it being set in the 70's. I love the music they've chosen for it, but I'm glad they don't overwhelm you with a lot of in-your-face 70's pop culture stereotypes. It might make it harder for them to resist doing that with them being in LA for these episodes.

Leaphorn was introduced as the main character from day one in the books. Chee was introduced in a standalone, and though they had different educational backgrounds readers got confused and thought Hillerman just changed Leaphorn’s name. It was brought up at a book signing, I think. He brought them together after that, I believe.
TV changed a few things up but it all works. It works well.
I found Hillerman’s writing to be irritating at times and did not read beyond the first several books, skimming the last one I had. I had the epub versions on a Kindle or Nook.
