Jay is going to use the pre-SEC slate to find the best use of all the various guys. They will be fine.

We have a 6.00 ERA right now. Not great but we’re still murdering teams

Come up with something original baw.

It’s not like we all didn’t hear that on the tv broadcast.

Also, they are not even 5 games into the season.

Y’all are some idiots.

We're playing our first pretty bad team today. And we currently have an ERA under 4.5 against them.

Maybe CJJ is trying to see who can be extended, who can pitch in the clutch, or who can figure it out on the mound and show composure.

I think CJJ and Nate have at least a clue about what is going on. This happens every year, I swear this board is not satisfied unless LSU goes undefeated, strikes out ever opposing batter, collects 40 hits per game and wins 40-0.

Set a school record for strikeouts in a three game series.

I’m not worried but does anyone know our team ERA last year? Or the year before?

Like what’s a good team ERA? What’s elite? What’s realistic?

last year was 3.73. I remember Todd Walker talking about it before Omaha and he only gave like 2-3 teams a real shot at winning it due to our team ERA being below 4. He said basically every year that the team that wins has that.

Its early and Jay is throwing everyone to see who he can rely on in SEC play. If it still at 6 in a month then start getting worried

Man, we have some puss arse fans. Has Jay not proved he knows how to adjust and win games? But shite, let’s freak out 5 games into the season.

Kent State is probably a tournament team. I wouldn't say they're bad. Also, if you watched you'll see he's not extending pitchers. He's seeing who he can rely on. Sheerin has looked pretty dominating on the mound but they're moving him slowly not to extend him coming off injury. Moore looked amazing. Guidry has killed people. They set a record on strikeouts in 1 game.

You'd have to be pretty oblivious to what's actually going on to think this is a worry right now. When you're slapping freshman in and changing pitchers every inning that's going to skew those numbers. Watch the games not the stat lines.

No need to look at stats until about halfway through SEC play. not enough reps to get a good read on it. for example. Garcia had an 81 era going into today but pitched a clean inning today. coming in he only pitched 1/3 inning. so now he will go down to just over 20 era from 81. big difference.
