Instead of Iowa, does LSU take home the natty?

SC couldn't beat a team that LSU demolished when it counted the most in the tourney, so it's irrelevant.

Well it's sad South Carolina couldn't beat Iowa when LSU made it look easy.

South Carolina was looking past Iowa to a rematch with LSU. Sounds crazy, but i believe that's what happened. All the stars aligned for LSU.

Staley is an awesome coach. BUT, in that semifinal game versus Iowa in 2023, she was stubborn and played her same D straight up on Clark. She later said, about that game, her stubbornness cost her team in that game. She almost retired then, she says, because she was so upset at herself.

The SEC in WBB now has the two most tough teams/programs in college WBB: Carolina and Texas. Because we are talented and well-coached/respected, both Carolina and Texas are gonna give us their best games. It will be that way for as long as Dawn and Vic are coaching there.

Meh, South Carolina dominated us in 3 point shooting and inside play, and we still could have won if we hit our free throws. If we play them again, just need to have better perimeter defense on those 3’s, cause that really hurt us, they couldn’t miss.

LSU was lights out from 3 that game. If the shooting was the same LSU would have beaten South Carolina in that game. But South Carolina couldn't beat Iowa

Inside play? LSU destroyed them in rebounds and shut down their 3 in the second half. Staley said in her post game that if you told her lsu would beat them by that much on the boards and shoot that high percentage, they don’t lose those games.

LSU outplayed them period. It was the 9 missed FTs which they normally make.

LSU is gonna shrink that line-up and Hines will get PT at point. Fulweili will play a defensive stopper role on the 2 for the other team or their quickest player.
You can see this a mile an away.

OP is talking about in the natty game a few years back. Not a rematch this year

ETA: My bad if the poster is talking about the regular season game a few years back. But not how I read it with the verb tenses.

And that Iowa game made Angel Reese a lot of money with the Clark angle. Don't think she would have blown up as much has the team played Carolina

The answer is No. Just like South Carolina wouldn't have a National Championship in 2017 if Miss State didn't upset UCONN in the semifinals. Sometimes it simply takes a little bit of luck on your side.
