WBB Recruits at South Carolina game

LSU Had four big time recruits at the South Carolina game last night. Interestingly, all four also have offers from South Carolina. I’m curious how the recruits are feeling afterwards.
Caroline Bradley feels like an LSU lock at this point, but no guarantees. She also has South Carolina in her top 10.
Kaleena Smith has a ton of offers, including South Carolina and UConn. I don’t think she comes here.
Zaniya Johnson is a big body that we can desperately use.
Kie'Aundria Acree also seems like an LSU-type recruit personality-wise. She said she had a great visit and was offered while here.

Hopefully the crowd won them over.

Probably a good strategy. The crowd was amazing and the recruit has to feel connected to the team….which they often do more after a loss than a big win, as long as the team plays well,

Smith will stay on west coast

I can't imagine there being a better atmosphere than that, maybe equal too but that was about as electric of a atmosphere for a girl basketball game that ive ever seen.

It's such a crapshoot. Two years ago, LSU came in 2nd for about 15-20 bluechips and only signed one Top 100 player (#96 Jada Richard). The next year, they signed the #1 class, three of whom shined in limited minutes as freshmen on national tv Saturday night.
Here's a few factors recruits may consider that we might not know the answer to until they sign somewhere:
$$$$
Playing time
Playing style/scheme
Geographical location (in-state/OOS, family attendance capability or not)
Bond with coach or coaches or teammates (surrogate family/personality fit)
Prefers discipline/structure or prefers autonomy/constructive guidance
Coach or University pedigree/legacy
WNBA development
Fan support
Facilities
Degree/major availability

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. Definitely see her as a Trojan.

These days it’s all about money and the ability to promote your players. LSU obviously had more financial backing than people use to think and I don’t know if there’s a program in any sport at any school that has the number of recognizable athletes that LSU does.
It seems like there’s someone from almost all of the main sports(both men and women)that are know on and off the court.
Based on that alone, I think LSU is in the mix/at the top when it comes to just about anyone they recruit. Obviously they won’t get them all, but in the NIL era, LSU always has a chance.

Kim's medical issues derailed recruitment for that class.

We were considered the favorite for Sarah Strong at one point and that would’ve changed the program.. I’m curious how close we were to landing her.
