Never did it before, thinking about giving it a go Monday. I'm in Raceland so something within 2 hours would be nice.

There’s a launch on hwy 398 near bayou L’ourse you can run north into Sherman. But this time of year, I’d hit marsh for crappie

I been watching a couple guys hitting them pretty good in the flooded cypress but they seasoned veterans, I'm a newb.

Lake verret, but finding which ones hold fish is the issue. I would just go in the popular community canals.

Wherever you can jig as many freshwater bridge pylons. Drop a 1/32 oz lead head with a black/chartreuse mini tube to the bottom then jig back to surface until you get a bite, then fish that depth.

Just go watch some Kfred videos. All he does is find some stumps and keep whipping his line. Looks really easy and he catches a lot of fish.
