On Tuesday, a jury in Hernando County, Fla., found Andrew Paul Johnson guilty of five charges, including molesting a child under 12 and another under 16, as well as lewd and lascivious exhibition. .
William Forgie, the chief assistant state attorney for the fifth judicial circuit in Florida, told NPR in an email that Johnson "faces up to life in prison" when he is sentenced in March. An attorney for Johnson did not respond to a phone message seeking comment.

Andrew Paul Johnson, a Florida handyman who received a pardon from President Trump for storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has been convicted of multiple state charges of child molestation and exposing himself to children, prosecutors told NPR. Andrew Paul Johnson, the pardoned rioter, attempted to bribe one victim with money he claimed he would receive as part of restitution for Jan. 6 defendants, police reported. The conviction is the latest case of a pardoned Capitol rioter committing new crimes after receiving a pardon.

Johnson also attempted to keep one victim quiet by claiming he would receive $10 million from the Trump administration as restitution for former Jan. 6 defendants and would share the money with the victim in his will, according to the police report.

Does one have something to with another?

Put him in jail. Being pardoned for Jan. 6 doesn't mean anything here.

NPR is tracking this
There are probably hundreds of people dead and raped because of Soros' DAs letting out violent criminals over the last decade. I'm sure the NPR tracks this too, no?

Literally the only reason they wrote the article was for the line you quoted. It's pathetic.

“A guy whose favorite color is blue has been convicted of child molestation”
Just as relevant. Cut his balls off.

Honestly, the real story here was that a Jan 6 rioter and recipient of a Trump pardon turned out to be a Democrat all along
Talk about burying the lede

Why are you defending crime, especially to children? That shouldn't be an R or D trigger.

Nobody is defending crime. Nobody cares if this guy is dragged out and shot regardless of how MAGA he was.
We're pointing out the hypocrisy of an organization (NPR) which found preventable murders, assaults and rapes for the sake of misguided equity unnewsworthy

This administration just loves protecting pedophiles. I was told Republicans were the ones tough on crime?

Exhibit A of NPR's target demo with this nonsense

Narrator: Republican Governor Ron DeSantis led the charge to permit the death penalty for child predators. The at-issue criminal is located in Florida.

Your first post in the thread is a whataboutism, your immediate reaction was to advance a logical fallacy instead of staying on the topic. It's clear where your intentions lie
