Bring back actual trash men.
The automated trash trucks are doing this.

Used to hand them cold beer and/or water back then.

It's a shitty, thankless job. A simple show of appreciation goes a long way.

They forgot to throw it down tipped over and blocking the driveway.

Our trash service tells us to leave our garbage can at the street if it needs to be replaced. They usually replace broken cans within a day or two.

while on the topic of trash cans...
have y'all noticed some of these little companies popping up in your areas for trash can cleaning services? I've seen some that's just like a teenager trying to get some spare cash and some that look like full fledged legit businesses. I cannot imagine the market for this though. Are there really people that are paying a monthly rate to have someone clean and sanitize the trash can?

But I’ll go with - the felon trash men are only temporarily in your neighborhood once, maybe twice a week - whereas you are a permanent resident

Hardest thing to have thrown away is a trash can.
Just ask those old enough to remeber the galvanized steel cans we had to buy/use.

Subtle, I live on a paved road brag.

They probably had it way overloaded.
