Can someone explained what the guy was doing to the camera?

I dont see any motions that hes doing that would disable the camera.
And was his plan to pull some weeds and rub that on the lens?
Its extremely confusing since the camera seemed to be working still

Not much of a plan. The culprit will be a neighbor...someone very close.

This. Service personnel who knows the house - HVAC Tech, landscaper, water system service, pool man, plumber - came back to rob the lady having no idea she has a TV daughter.
Got pissed at her when he found she doesn’t keep money at home, beat her, dragged her out to try her ATM card, and she died on him. Dumped her body and fled, maybe back across the border.

Agree except dragging body part. Hit her and caused bleeding convinced her she dies or goes with him. And buried in desert somewhere.
The pacemaker losing contact is a giveaway.
