How do you function the next day? Are you not eternally lethargic? Are your sinuses and allergies not terrible (nose stuffy)? Is your face and hair not oily? Honestly, I'm jealous. Without a hot morning shower, I am in a bit of a slumber all day long and just feel off... What's the consensus from the OT?

You’re thinking about all the dudes here taking showers?

You can wash your face without showering

You have respiratory issues if you haven’t showered immediately beforehand?

I do both.

Don’t want to go to bed dirty and like to start the day with a shower.

For those of you that do not shower at night, how can you sleep in your bed knowing your arse is funky from working all day?

You know a daily bath wasn't commonplace across the world until the last 60-70 years or so. Let's just be grateful we don't have a bunch of smelly dirty people running around anymore.

We have non-sweating jobs.

The priority is a night shower. I physically cannot get into bed with the filth and remnants of the day all on me. If I have time, which I pretty much always do, I will also take a morning shower.

Shower at night if I've worked out. Shower every morning. If don't have a reason to leave the house on a Saturday I might skip that morning.

You shouldn't wash your hair every day. Face? Yes. Hair? No, do that every couple days or so.

I work the drive-thru window, not the grill, so I don't sweat as much.

I feel the same way. Even if I'm getting up super early to go hunting, I still carve out 20 minutes for a shite and a shower.

I felt my best when I showered at night and again in the morning, because it is true - both have some benefits not shared with the other method.

An old guy told me once that a man that showers after work is usually happier than a man that showers before work.

As I get older myself I see some wisdom in this.
