It amazes me how her story just went away. I wonder why it received so much attention. Maybe they realized just how despised he daughter is and killed the story.

It's because there are shenanigans afoot with it all and Trump put them notice that they aren't necessarily going after perpetrators here, but a solution to the overall problem. They're scared.
