I wouldn’t make it without tomatoes. A small can of whole tomatoes just squeeze them in your hand before you add them. No juice just the tomatoes

1 Can of drained Rotel tomatoes, to 3 quarts of corn (6 to 8 ears of corn). 1 onion, 1 bell pepper, a diced, seeded jalapeno, fried in a couple of tablespoons of bacon grease or hog lard.. 1/2 cup of milk if it gets dry, and seasoning of your choice. I like Slap Ya Mama.

Is there a problem? Most recipes call for heavy cream or evaporated milk. I prefer heavy cream...

I've never made it and never realized it had any type of cream in there.

Honestly not a huge fan of it either way, just made me say wtf.

Mine has more corn than tomatoes. I use 80 oz corn kernels and about 6 roma tomatoes. So it's probably about a 1 to 4 ratio of tomatoes to corn based on weight.
