Warrants Issued Following Altercation During Krewe of Centaur Parade

According to the Shreveport Police Department, the incident took place Saturday, February 7, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m. in the 2200 block of Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway during the large Mardi Gras parade event, which attracts thousands of attendees each year.
Investigators said the case was launched after video footage circulating on social media and witness statements brought attention to the altercation. Authorities identified the suspect as Georgie Creamer.
Police say their investigation determined Creamer allegedly used loud and profane language in a public setting before throwing a cup containing liquid. Investigators say the liquid struck an adult victim and a small child who were attending the parade.
Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Creamer on charges of Disturbing the Peace and Simple Battery.

Looks like a mighty sparse crowd for people to be fighting over "their spot."

I didn't realize you could be arrested for being a trashy drunk.
What are the chances that these charges will get dismissed because it's not egregious enough to convict them? They cussed at grandma and sloshed a little beer on her- distasteful and trashy? Absolutely. Illegal or criminal behavior? 1000% no. This whole thing has gotten blown SO FAR out of proportion because it was a black grandmother with her grandkids. I've said it before (not on FB- I'm smarter than that
) that there was also an ATTEMPTED MURDER during the parade where someone got pushed in front of a float and got run over, but that's getting almost ZERO press because either a) they were white, or b) both parties were black. Meanwhile, this poor woman's life is over in this area because she was drunk and obnoxious at a parade.
