Bessent said, “The Trump economy is delivering for the American people that we have strong growth and inflation is, in fact, coming down for the past three months. Inflation is 2.1% close to the Federal Reserve’s target and a measure called Truflation, which is daily observations, now is below 1%. So inflation down, stocks strong growth stocks hit a record high and the lowest crime rate in over 100 years.”

This will certainly trigger some posters

Do we actually believe the numbers that our benevolent government dishes out? Idk maybe

Inflation skyrocketed post COVID(prices clearly show this), and even if the inflation rate has "slowed" since, it's still compounding on top of that initial burst that many(most) Americans didn't expect, nor plan for while they were spending their stimulus check bennies on dumb shite.

I, for one, believe every word that comes out of that humble soybean farmer-turned Treasury Secretary’s mouth.

If you have quote out getting a house built recently you will know inflation is still high. Almost 9% higher than 13months ago.

Of course this OP would post false info on here. Inflation is not 2.1%.

You are on the wrong board. The parrot board is over there.

They gave out a lot of money while making it illegal for people to produce goods and services. What did they think was going to happen to prices?

Not just random but also very dumb

They only believe the BLS who was just off by 1mil in the jobs report and uses a fricked up way to get Shelter numbers

Thankfully Warsh understands it unlike Too late

Just paid $19.99 for small king cake at local LA grocery store.

Dough, sugar and filling.

It ain’t just my azz that’s inflated!

Sorry, I listen with my eyeballs, Mr Bessent.

There isn't one piece of that statement that isn't 100% facts.

You will continue to have no credibility until you can at least post simple statements without fricking them up...

It is also real life vs political talking heads. Do you believe inflation dropped to 2.1%?

It is hard to discuss economics or finances with someone like sdv_puppet.

He is a parrot that repeats lies from politicians. A giant of a financial guru. In his own mind. I have never seen an educated comment from him.

Let's see what clever response he comes back with.

Does anyone else believe inflation is 2.1%?
