I remember Petty, Rolling Stones, The Who, Springsteen. And I hate Springsteen but at least he’d have been better than that shite.

No performer under 60 can play an actual instrument.

Not entirely true but I get your point. I keep wondering if they'll give one to Ed Sheeran.

there hasn’t been a country artist in 20 years and it’s one of the largest and most profitable demos of American music

At this point I doubt even Taylor Swift can get the gig. Blonde hair and blue eyes? Nope.

She has turned it down multiple downs. Taylor is bigger than the Super bowl.

But time makes you bolder

Even children get older

And I'm getting older too

PS If you got that reference you are not in a demographic the NFL cares about.

The worst era (outside of Prince, who isn't rock)

This era was all an overreaction to Nipple Gate. They brought on very bland rock acts who wouldn't rock the boat and the Who killed it b/c they were so bad.

they need to do some unique combo type stuff…mix older acts and a newer acts together for some hits, covers, mashups that are unique an would t happen outside of that Super Bowl

It was pretty much high school and shitty college marching bands for the first 20 years.

That's Stevie singing "Lanslide".

I am a "young" 44, but grew up on Sam Cooke, Elvis, CCR, Fats Domino, etc.

Musicians today, and I use that term liberally, do not know how to play an instrument & write meaningful lyrics.

I guess I am just not a big Springsteen fan, never have been but him performing would have been no different that Big Bunny.. Its just not for me.

But times change. People you used to like are not the same as the artist the younger generation likes.. With that said, I don't know if the younger generate maybe at least not in the American states? are not that big into him.

With that said, I looked up to see who performed for the Super Bowl from the first super bowl to today and in the first Super Bowl the Grambling Band was part of the performance.. They performed with the University of Arizona's band. And there were no popular performers.

The fourth SB.. In old Tulane Stadium Southern's band performed with some people. The the SB was held in old Tulane stadium for the 6th SB.. Ella Fitzgerald performed.

Then for super bowl 9 it was back at Old Tulane Stadium where Grambling's band performd.

By that logic, so is Bad Bunny.

Is it too much to just give us Metallica? They're still touring and sound incredible in person.
