Considering the weak FA and draft class of QB’s, I give it a high likelihood that Carr comes out of retirement this offseason. I love that we would get to trade his rights and pick up some draft picks or just one pick. I know it will be 4th round pick or later, but at least it’s something.
The only question is: do we prefer another pick in this draft or next years draft (which is thought of as a better quality draft)?

that sounds like such a waffling answer, a Derek Carr special.

I don’t think we have his rights now. He gave that money back.

The Saints still hold Carr's rights, though Tyler Shough's impressive rookie season, the amicable end to Carr’s time in New Orleans and the way the sides worked through any salary-cap issues add up to his tolled contract being an unlikely hurdle in the process. The Saints could ask for compensation in a trade, though the price surely wouldn't be an unreasonable ask for a player who has no future in New Orleans

No Carr sympathizer.. but he did give us a massive break. he could’ve held us hostage for years to come but he did the right thing as a human and I respect him for that. So I wish him the best wherever he goes or ends up doing

He didn't give us a massive break. He injured himself to violate that contract and a deal was worked out to benefit both sides

Did he touch you? Cause if you watch football you would know there are worse QBs playing in the league right now.

He could’ve very easily stayed around and collected his checks. But he didn’t

Id like to see him be sucessfull again.
To be honest.
Id like to see him lead teams to a SB.
It would be fitting.

Wasnt his fault this team was trash and he couldnt put the team on his back and win games.
He wasnt that type of QB.

The only thing that makes him look better is comparison to his older brother.

I used to feel bad for David Carr being sacked so much. Get to know him.

That people keep forgetting this is wild

Why would we extend a qb that would miss an entire season with injury?

He gave us a massive break because he injured himself and violated his contract and the saints would have taken him to arbitration and most likely would have won and he would have collected absolutely nothing. I think Carr is awful but, he also isn’t a POS. Hes also not what you’re making him out to be here.
