Didn't the Popeyes on Carrollton near Willow have one of those gas station / bank style walk-up windows with transfer drawers on the exterior? This would have been late 90s. I'm pretty sure it was like that. I assumed it was bulletproof glass then. I wandered over there from Jimmy's one night.

Many years ago when I lived in NO we had some corporate guys for Miller Brewing come down from Milwaukee and wanted to see some "ethnic" stores.
The marketing manager asked if I would take them, they made it to one bullet proof store. The owner came out to say hi, I introduced him and one of the execs blurted out "how can you do this arent you scared". The owner said "Im from Lebanon, bombs scare me.....bullets not so much"
