Nissan Titan Opinions

We had a 2013 F-150 Platinum and really liked it. Sold it when we moved and I retired. I'd like an F-150 Tremor but I'm not paying $80k for one.
Read some reviews that the Nissan Titan V8 was a reliable truck so I wanted some input from people who own(ed) them.
I see low mileage ones in the low 40s.

Have a podnah that has one after trading in his GMC Sierra which gave him nothing but issues. He loves his Titan and says it been reliable for him.
He purchased it because another podnah of ours has one and has had minimal issues with it.

Have a ‘21 pro 4x and have had no issues. Chose it because at the time ford had no v8s on the lots.

The diesel ones have really mixed reviews.
All of the V8 ones- awesome reviews. They are similar to a tundra. Fuel mileage isn't great, but they are sturdy, reliable, and pull the house.

Got the first year model through a program at work. It was a tank. 8 years of Yazoo Clay and it was still kicking. Traded it in on a f150 with the super turbo v6. Mistake. They just didn’t evolve fast enough, and had terrible facial design. If I didn’t need my 2500 I would be driving one of those ugly SOB’s now

Join EAA for xplan or shop around a bit should be able to get a 150 tremor under that. I had one was a great truck. I have had a bunch of Superdutys and a Raptor and wouldn’t discourage anyone from looking at a 150 Tremor.
Titan has had a lot of mixed reviews over the year but in general most Nissan products have been solid. Nissan though is on the verge of bankruptcy, their dealer network is losing a bunch of cash and their future product plans are all up in the air. Just not a situation that would make me feel good going in on a new truck.

I have a 2018 SV Crew 4x4
140k miles
I don't have any major complaints. It has the basics and that's what I wanted and I paid right at 31k for it.
Only thing I have had to replace is the starter and some random grill shutter thing. Otherwise, solid truck imo

Had a 2018. Just got rid of it. Transmission was leaking from somewhere. Not a common thing though. Those motors are a tank. Very basic, not a great ride, good at towing.

Ergonomics on the Titan are terrible. Plus, it’s the Altima of full-sized pickups…

Check the resale, they rank right with the Dodge in terms of resale.

Nissan realized they were late to the full sized truck game shdd ed n Toyota started having success with the Tundra so they decided the sensible thing to do was:
1) Design an all new full sized truck which they had never done before before.
2) Build a brand new facility with equipment they had never used before.
3) Hire a completely new, untrained staff to build this thing.
The quality was really bad. It was a joke in the industry. It will be studied for a while on how not to do it.

Have a 2017 with 102,000 miles on it. Road mileage is 20 mpg solidly. Changed the starter 6 months ago with is common. Pain in the arse because it's on top and you have to remove intake, took 3 solid hours. Transmission value body shite the bed just outnof warranty $4 for that repair. Rack and pinion replaced under warranty at around 40K miles. Really like the truck, but it has been less reliable than I would like for certain. Spoke directly with Nissan district office after the transmission valve body failure just out of warranty and they offered zero assistance,.wouldn't even throw Ina few free oil changes. So for me, no more Nissans after owning a couple of Pathfinders and this Titan.

2015 Titan SV here, 140k miles.
So far it's been a solid truck. I have had a few issues. Replaced the starter, and my heater failed (seems this is a common problem with them, and I have weird electronic issues (volume on the radio changes by itself, display not working on the screen) these don't happen frequently, but they happen.
All in all, it's been very solid mechanically.

Driven 2 as rentals for weeks. Great truck so much room. But the turning radius is a mile long. Be careful in small parking lots

The guts are awesome. The 5.6 and the 9 speed are both one if the best in class. Look and design are lacking though. Haul very well. I was looking hard at an XD but decided to just keep my old truck. No note is nice.

Thanks for this info. I checked it - so I "join" this website for $48 and in 60-90 days I'm eligible for xplan pricing? No catch?
Thanks to everyone for the feedback on the reliability and comments. Now that they are discontinued, I may bite the bullet on the Tremor if I can get a great deal.
My only experience with Nissan was a 350Z the first year they came out. Did a lease for 36 months and really enjoyed it.

You would think after 23 years of building Titans. Nissan would have all that worked out

I have a Frontier. It was great for the first 100K miles. Since then, I've spent as much on repairs as I paid for it.
I will not own another Nissan.
