As I recall, the financial collapse hit in September, 2008. 2 months before the 2008 Presidential election.
At the time, John McCain* was up a few points in the polling (rare for a Republican). If only I could remember the name of the Democrat nominee that year. Whomever it was, this financial collapse 2 months before election day was like a gift from the political gods.

McCain's forte was foreign policy. Not economics. At the time when everyone in the electorate was looking for coherent explanations and policy solutions on the 2008 Financial Crisis, McCain couldn't string two thoughts together on the economy. All Obama had to do is repeat 5 bullet point talking points with 100 "ums and ahs" in between every 5th word and he sounded more credible than McCain.

I’m convinced that the McCain crew intentionally threw that election campaign by not even trying & laying down to give Obama the election. If you remember he put his campaign “on hold” to deal with the financial crisis giving Obama even more ammunition to run against him. The people who ran his campaign were Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, & Nicole Wallace. Anyone noticed what those three are up to now?

She was/is an LaRouche supporter from back in the day. Just stayed active.
I caught her on Tom Luongo's Gold,Goats,&Guns podcast a week ago.
LaRouche is from the Lib wing of the Rep party from back in the day. Started as a lib wing extreme Dem, then moved over to conspiracy-theory Repub. So was always considered a hack.

Very credible theory.
Republicans want power to get money. Democrats want power so they need money.
McCain probably made more money being a Neocon Senator making trips back and forth to/from Ukraine than he could have being president.

Even with her past LaRouche connection today she offers interesting commentary on this Trump White House and how Trump is trying to break the U.S. free of the Royal/EU financial obligations. Afterall, it's been the U.S. taxpayer that has funded most of all of the EU countries socialist lifestyle for decades if not centuries. 6 weeks of vacation, "free" healthcare, highly subsided education, full pensions at 62, etc. are typical. We are funding that because we subsidize their defense bigly and keep their banking system liquid.

Considering the 2008 market collapse was started by Bill Clinton in the late 90s I could see it. Also she says that Jeffery Epstein was in jail when that email was written is not totally true. He was in a minimum security jail where he was allowed to leave every morning and come back at night. He was allowed to leave to go to his office and run his business. So he had all day to email, call or talk to whoever.

A clear change was made after the fall of East Germany, in the shadows with the creation of the Euro (EU/DAVOS) to steal the wealth from the developed west and spread is to other countries who manipulate their currencies values.
Through bribes and other paybacks, DAVOS has kept it going and gotten rich. At the expense of the middle class.
Trump is ending that with the Tariffs. ("Gold will end the Fed")
The EU/DAVOS has other means of "soft power".
Trump (or the white hats) is also attacking those threats that can spin up to stir up stuff. (Venezuela for example)

Yea there were a lot of politicians against that whole deal. Even a few democrats. They tried to get Bill to reign it in and enforce some rules on it and he wasnt having it. What would be really interesting is to know who was in that circle in the late 90s. Hank Paulson was the architect of it and made out like a bandit when W made him Secretary of the Treasury.
