They’ll analyze that 4th quarter for the next 60 years. Outscored 19-0. Brady goes 91 yards to tie it.

And the Falcons easily in field goal territory to seal it at the end right?

What has to be the most painful thing is going into the 4th quarter they could have done nothing but run the ball and got the win. Even if they only got a couple of first downs the Patriots would have been a possession short of the win. The Falcons decided to stay aggressive and play for ego instead of the win.

Painfully stupid coaching decisions.

4:38 left in the 4th, Falcons up 28-20 they had the ball on the Patriots 23 yard line after an awesome catch by Julio Jones (his 5th great catch that night).

The next play was a sack for a big loss that took them back to about the 37 yard line.

Play after that, was a holding penalty that took them back to the about the 45. 3rd down was another passing play that was incomplete and they punted with about 3:30 left.

If they would have run the ball on those three plays, they would have been well in Field Goal range, would have most likely been up 11 and would have given the ball back to the patriots with about 1:30 left on the clock.

It was an absolute coaching disaster to call a deep passing play on first and 10 from the 23. Colossal mistake. I'm not a Falcons fan, but it frustrates the hell out of me to see a game mismanaged like that. If I was the head coach and I heard that call come down I would have been livid and overridden it to a run.

ATL did run on the 1st down following the Julio catch but it was for a 1yd loss. I only know this because I watched that drive last night after posting about it

Yea but I will always blame that loss on Matt Ryan. Dude scored 28 in the first half and could not muster any points in the second half to keep Tom Brady from taking his manhood away from him.

Pathetic Beta

Patriots were down 28-12 at one point. Missed an XP after the first TD. So had to make BOTH 2-point conversions on the next two TDs just to tie it

Brady also had no Gronk in this game due to injury. So who steps up in the pass game? James White out of the backfield. One of the great Super Bowl performances of all time from White

That's right. I always forget about the run because of them running 3 plays after it since they replayed 3rd down for the hold.

The same guy that called those stupid plays went on to lose two more super bowls doing the exact same thing.
