People have been doing stupid stuff for a picture long before like and subscribe.
My own idiot mother chased a mama bear off the 11 mile loop path (Cade’s Cove) to take pics of the babies back in the late 80s… we all were sure she was a goner. One of the scariest days of my life.

Dumb as it was to approach within 10 feet, it seems even dumber that she then turned her back on it to take the selfie... if I had to guess, that was the last straw.

There are scores of vids with professionals who actually know the cats and show how dangerous it is to turn your back. Even cheetahs can get aggressive if you make it that inviting.
