I know money talks but Henderson was a huge reason Stewart chose USC. I love our Defensive Line haul but you can never have too many. Might be something to watch. Also might help with Zyron Forstall. Not too sure on that one but I thought he was leaning USC or was he always set on leaving the Louisiana regardless.

LSU probably can’t afford him
I bet Oregon would get in the race if he hit portal
I didn’t think you could leave unless head coach bolts with portal closed

All the portal guys were Tiger bait until we signed them. He had s good year as s true freshman which would gave been his HS senior year. You never have enough DL.

For a reclassified true freshman that played with a stress fracture in his foot most of the year, he was pretty damn good.. He looks extremely promising.

Brotha did you not just see what Kiffin and LSU shelled out in this portal cycle? Can’t afford him my arse lol. Maybe Kelly couldn’t afford him but Lane sure as hell could if he really wanted him. This “LSU can’t afford to” thing needs to die. They’ve proven over the past few months that they can afford to do just about anything they want to.

He had 11 total tackles. He may explode this season but till this point he's unproven. And yes I do like to see local talent succeed.

Was a PFF freshman AA. He won’t be 19 until May. He is 6’6” 290 lb animal. Dude is a take all day long if he is available.

Like we probably couldn’t afford Seaton and both Leavitt and Longstreet?

It’s amazing that this idea still exists after what Lane just did in the portal. If we want him, and he wants to be here, we will find the money.

Consistently one of the worst posters and almost always wrong if not always.

Especially if the staff continues to recruit and retain the roster at a high level, they’ll have the luxury of being more selective in the portal.
Lane’s exact quote today “we’re just getting started”

This dude left for over 2 mill a year didn't he? Plus he left for California life and to get connected to the biz out there (like commercials and brands and the like)

I doubt he's losing all that to go back home. Dude seemed like he had zero desire to stay in Louisiana. I live in Shreveport and when I was growing up many kids would either graduate high school or graduate from college and immediately go to Texas.

Is Lane even interested in Zyron Forstall, he and the staff been all over the country taking pictures with recruits but I haven’t seen them with him. I would think they are interested.

7.5 TFL, 1.5 Sack, and 1 Int ...not bad for a kid who was basically a HS senior this past season.

Dom McKinley had 2 TFLs and 1 sack

Everyone is chasing TAM atm. Not sure hes necessarily hellbent on leaving LA, though he already has, as much as hes hellbent on taking the best offer. His recruitment is pure NIL. No different than Stewart's.

I'm not saying Stewart is worth the former asking price USC paid him but he was better than any DT we had this season as a high school senior playing in college basically, on a gimpy foot. He made impact plays, despite pretty limited playing time (232 snaps) and showcased what he can do.

He clearly has a ton of talent, but if USC is paying him $2M/yr, I dont see us doing that unless we have even more money just hanging out there. That is an absolute ton for a DT we could spend on more impact positions.

Uh... he put up 7.5 TFL in only 11g (and limited snaps in those games) as a true freshman iDL, even after reclassifying up a year?

For comparison, LSU hasn't had an iDL - of any age or class - record 7.5 TFL in a single season since 2021.

Like it or not, Stewart seems by all reasonable measures to be well on his way to being a legit stud.
