Someone might say you need to check this film out. It's kind of bad, but in a weird way I wanted to watch it. First one for me was Freaks, made in the 30's , they used actual people from a old traveling circus. Hollywood banned it for a while. Next was Pink Flamingos by John Waters. I'm sure most have heard of it, if not will just leave it here. And finally Irreversible, shot in chronological order. It's not for the faint of heart.

The Human Centipede was big on this board when it came out. The description of the movie alone made me want to throw up, I can't even imagine watching it.

Chopper with Eric Bana. Great performance and excellent film but difficult to watch.

Yep this film brutalized my childhood. At that moment I knew what it felt like to be a child victim like those at Penn State.

Came here to post that one. Fricked me up. I quit watching gory movies after that one

"Hostel" with all the gore and shock violence.
As for "Freaks" I didn't find it brutal or disgusting as much as I found it bazaar with the circus freaks they used in the cast. To know the cast was made up of actual people with those physical and mental deformities was a bit odd.
No CGI there, just DNA and bad luck.

I haven't seen it since 2006?, but I remember House of 1,000 Corpses as being pretty violent.

Nothing beats Serbian Movie
I mean a guy delivers a baby, rapes it and screams "newborn porn". And that's not even the worst of it. Saw it once wouldn't watch again.
For fun brutal movies. I like Feast and Feast 2.
I laughed when the guy saved the baby then threw it to the monster to get eaten while he ran away.
