The heavy set middle aged lady with thick shoes who looks, smells and runs like her pedigreed side kick.
I always pull for her.

At least half of the handlers are like 55-year-old overweight women. And have been that way at least since I was a kid.

Let us know who wins best bitch

I don’t have cable so can’t watch. But I’ll watch portions online. I enjoy watching the judge choose Best In Show at the end. When they point and the dog knows. Bonus if it’s from the herding or working breeds groups. It’s been nice seeing some large dogs win. I saw Covy Tucker Hills Manhattan, a German Shepherd, win many years ago. That’s the 1st time I recall watching.

Isn't this normally on Thanksgiving after the gay parade coverage?

No. That’s like the national dog show or something. But you are correct that there’s a big dog show on Thanksgiving.

I’ve always wondered how can somebody judge all the different breeds potentially? Like how do you know the standards for all those different breeds that well.

This dog show reminds me the importance and unfair of genetics in the game of life.

That dog looks high energy.

Look at these puppies

I guess experience. And sometimes you can see the dog asking/wanting to win. Sometimes, I wonder if that gives a boost if it’s close. It’s also interesting how different the show lines are vs the working lines of same breeds. German Shepherd, being one. Glad this was brought up, I’ll have to take a look tomorrow.

The breed is high energy. She's been great though. I have another dog at home, and she make a great playmate to her.

I can’t imagine the cost of keeping an Afghan Hound groomed.

I like to go online and watch some of the breed judging, usually Akitas and Shar-peis. I think I'll watch the Collies this year.
I've been wanting to go one year. I think i would even like to sit in the lobby and watch the handlers check in with the dogs.
