We should get a good haul for Bey

Is he not exactly what a contender wants? Switchable big who can stretch the floor?
He could bring us an asset

What if he is the asset…

Hell no you have him for $6 million next year. He’s a 20 pt player. He’s exactly the type of dog we need with a young team.

If a good haul to you is some second round picks then sure.

You keep Bey without question

I’m not sure if we can get a 1st for him and I’m not trading him for any less. We need to sign him to an extension

Keep Bey, sign him to an extension for 4/40 or so and have him for the next 5 years.

Trading him would be a mistake IMO. 26 yo, good size, cheap, productive. Unlikely the pick we get for him amounts to what he does. Pay the man.

Would be a terrible idea to trade him.

Not many guys can defend 1-5 and have a solid all around offensive game and a really good 3 pt shot. He’s a guy you keep, ideally in that 6th man first off the bench role. I’d try to lock him up for 3/$45 so including next year at $6 mil you get him 4 more years before he’s 30.

Sorry guys. Didn’t realize I was on the “win now” board.
Please proceed.

Bey is only 26, he can be part of this team for the next 5 years at a good price. That’s more valuable than the 2 2nd round picks you would get for him.

Do not want to trade bey. Hes the version of Naji we always wanted.

A young player and 2nds or a player and a 1st outside the lottery would be my starting point.
For instance say Lakers call I would be Knecht and a 1st.
Cavs Jaylon Tyson and 2-3 2nds.
Warriors Podz and 2-3 2nds.
I’m not trading him for a salary dump and 2nds though.

He's starting to hit strides too. Gotta remember he's only 3 months back from acl injury. He's only going to get in better rhythm with more games under his belt.
