I was surprised to see them rank fairly high after Kiffin left. Obviously, he built it. But, what’s the draw otherwise?

They don’t recruit high school and spend all the money the state of Mississippi has on that portal class to come in distant second.

Money.

This isn’t the CFB you are used to. If a team spends enough money, they can be good.

Kiffin leaving for lsu rallied the donors to go all in… they want to prove their success wasn’t just because of Kiffin and protect their status. So they spent a bunch in the portal.

But it’s just a matter of time before it fails and that money dries up.

They’ve created a strong collective since Lane arrived, and as much as it pains to say they’ve become a much more consistent winner than LSU since 2019. Kids don’t care about what happened in 2015

Probably has to do with head coaching experience, large trophy case, history of inclusion/diversity, and overall institutional control...

I was looking at the ESPN final portal player Top 50 rankings yesterday (no clue how accurate they are). Ole Miss didn’t have any of the top 50 portal players. Whereas LSU and teams like TXTech, Indiana, Miami, etc had multiple.

Either way, that program will completely collapse under Golding, I can’t wait to witness it.

Are you guys that delusional to think anyone right now in NCAA doesn't have the opportunity to win it all? You spend good chance you win and it certainly puts you in a good spot to compete. Anyone spending has a chance. What do you think? They spent money like everyone else. What else needs to be shown since this new playoff system started anyone has the capability to win it all. Ole Miss was 1 game away. Indiana just won it. You had Washington in the NC game just recently. Stop living on past of the NCAA. This is new age ball.

Yep. Same as LSU when Underwood flipped, Notre Dame when Kelly said he came to LSU for better resources, LSU again when Kelly was fired

It’s essentially a dick measuring contest. But whatever, I’m glad we have psycho boosters who want to give all of that money to the team I like.

I think they tampered. Pretty sure I heard proof of it.

It’s very reminiscent of missing out on Underwood but Lane being Underwood in that scenario. They are pissed and throwing money as a reaction.

It won’t matter . They have a terrible head coach and staff . They will fail miserably.
