I have seen at least 20 BRPD officers driving westbound on 190 in WBR. Anyone else have info?

They were chasing a boy named Ron

Saw the same thing around 2:30. It seemed like a lot of cop cars for a chase but can’t think what else it might be. Mostly EBR Sheriff cars but some state police, too. If it was a chase it started in EBR.

Anytime there is word of a police chase every cop within 20 miles wants to get in on it.

Exactly what I was thinking of. I saw 1 WBR deputy putting his spike strip back in the car. There were a couple of troopers following behind the initial chase but every other police vehicle trailing was BRPD.

I long for a world where people put as much of an emphasis upon the observance of the law as they do upon its enforcement.
Great job to the men and women that were willing to risk their lives and do their part to hold this resisting criminal accountable.

Sure, for the ones initially on the chase. But I saw the first cops fly past on 190 when I got on from 415. The last cop cars I saw was flying north on 110. Some of these cops were so far behind but they were endangering everyone’s life that was around because they just had to get in on the action. It’s careless and it can kill people. Maggie and Caroline should have been enough to stop this.

Chase ended in Point Coupee. I bet the driver got the shite beat out of him by Livonia PD.
no injuries reported. Sorry to burst your dream narrative.

This, there were at least 10-12 BRPD officers 5-10mns behind the pursuit deep into WBR parish, lights on swerving in/out of traffic. I don’t have an issue with the 4-5 BRPD officers in close pursuit and the 3-4 troopers following them.

I'd like to remind you that the reason the pursuit (which killed the girls in Brusly) even started was because BRPD failed to stop or pursue the suspect that was fleeing BR. They simply quit. That was the catalyst that led to the horrific deaths of those girls. Deaths that were the result of a single Addis officer who was grossly negligent.
If EBR LEOs actually pursued a criminal, I think its a good thing.
