CBS news Facebook page post about Don Lemon being arrested had a little over a thousand comments a few minutes ago. Newsmax’s similar post around the same time has over seven thousand comments. Don’t believe the lying legacy media, they are on life support as more and more people don’t engage with their lies and bs.

Facebook.

Is it still called META or did the drop that?

I'd still be there if they didn't promote Leftist lies and censor speech on my own page. But they couldn't help themselves.

Needs to go the way of MySpace and Ask Jeeves.

META is the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc. Facebook is its own site.

Facebook rebranded as Meta in 2021 to reflect its new focus on developing the metaverse, which aims to create interconnected digital experiences. This change marks a shift from being solely a social media platform to a broader technology company.

I left Facebook before all this happened. Haven’t cared since.

Cutoff the NGO funding and legacy media will die. Taxpayers have been funding this stuff.

META owns Facebook the way General Motors owns Chevrolet. The way Alphabet owns Google. It's a brand in their portfolio.

You can hate Facebook. IDGAF. But not sure how a corporate name change is relevant to the hate.

I am attempting to say that more people are engaging with organizations like Newsmax because they trust them more than the garbage mainstream media. In what universe should a post from CBS have less engagement than a post from Newsmax. CBS is available in every household in the country if you have an antenna. This is the equivalent of David verse Goliath and David is winning.

Man, I'd take the old MySpace back in a heartbeat over these ultra-prof-infiltrated platforms of today. Tom was tGoat. The platform didn't feel biased or hyper-liberal.

MSM got really hit hard by the internet. Back in the 1980s every Starbucks had a newspaper rack selling NYT, Wapo, USA Today and the local paper. By the 1990s those racks were gone.
People also sat down after work and watched ABC, CBS, NBC news. Their audience today is tiny.

Wasn’t sure why you singled out cbs over the entire array of the rest. Which is fine, by the way. Rush called the old media a dying format.

He was clearly ahead of his time.

Relevant is me asking wtf Facebook is called today. Is it X yet we all just call it Twitter still?

It’s a simple question

It is still called Facebook. The parent company is called Meta, which owns multiple entities, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.

It's called X. But that's OK, some people still call Nissan "Datsun"

I read this as them changing the name.

Again, just asking. Don’t care.
