I don’t think I want to live in a country where the federal executive office can come in and suspend leaders at the local level regardless of what they’re doing.

I get that when it comes shite like what’s going on in Minnie that it sucks and at leads to a good case of the pissed off but I’d still rather it be handled at the local and state level even they’re complete progressive loons themselves unless it becomes absolutely necessary and the rubicon for federal intervention has been crossed. What that looks like? I don’t know.

But you set a precedent like this and the next time the Dems have power in DC all the insulation red areas have at the state and local level (whatever little that may amount to) from their federal frickery goes out the window. The door is already wedged, they’ll use this opportunity to kick it completely fricking open; and that may be their play here- let Trump and MAGA be the ones do it.
