A bit meh compared to last seasons cast

quote:

As previously reported, Season 4 will take place in France, including Paris and multiple locations along the French Riviera. Series mastermind Mike White is the writer, director, and executive producer. David Bernad and Mark Kamine also executive produce.

I haven't watched any of this series. Can anyone explain the appeal to me? It just doesn't look like something I'd be interested in. But maybe i'm wrong.

Edit : JFC, it was an honest question. frick some of you people are miserable c.unts.

Cast definitely the weakest of the seasons so far

Helena Bonham Carter could be interesting though

It's a drama, lots of dialogue. But it's very entertaining, IMO. He does a good job of building interesting characters

liberals on this board will hate it. Not enough diversity. Just read the comments on twitter. Sounds like liberals on here.

Quick watch, only 6-8 episodes per season. The seasons are mostly stand alone with few ties and recurring characters between seasons.

It’s basically rich people with dysfunctional families and lives at exotic vacation spots. Blend of dark comedy and drama with murder mystery. And a lot of good looking women.

I think I prefer Season 1 the best, but I enjoyed them all. It’s not a show I would have likely have ever chosen to watch, but I had multiple folks recommend it.

You've missed out on some pretty good TV if you didn't watch the other seasons for that reason.

Not getting the inside scoop by not having JW working on this season is disappointing.

I waited to watch the first season because just based on the trailer it didn't look that great to me. I was definitely wrong, it's just really good tv with really good writing and the mystery is always great.

Coogan can do some really good impressions/impersonations.

Think it’s more than good enough to be excited. Coogan is hysterical. Alan Partridge and the “Trip” movies are all great. Have really high hopes for him. Early bet is on him being the star of the season (his “character” in the Trip movies is basically a tailor made White Lotus visitor already).

Helena Bonham Carter will obviously be a scene stealer, very Parker Posey (with much better CV honestly). And Chris Messina should be able to fill the Steve Zahn/Michael Imperioli role well.

Ludvig and Michalka should be able to handle the Jake Lacy/Daddario/Sweeney younger/attractive/douchey roles.

People also forget that for season 1 Armand was the breakout star but probably the least well-known actor of the ensemble. Patrick Schwarzenegger was one of the best in season 3 and wasn’t in a lot of stuff before.

I still have a mole on the crew! ... a former nola art director moved back to her native France and I helped her get on. And am pretty close to the production designer, so will get some tidbits here and there.

But nothing like the full access Thai experience.

That's okay .... BR is treating me well with plenty of frigid nights and slow/bad drivers. BUT I am enjoying some gumbo and king cake I suppose.
