link to bill

quote:

The bill requires a firearm barrel to be sold or transferred in person by a federally licensed firearm dealer. A person who is not a federally licensed firearm dealer shall not possess a firearm barrel with the intent to sell or transfer, or with the intent to offer to sell or transfer, the firearm barrel. Unlawful sale of a firearm barrel and unlawful possession with intent to sell a firearm barrel are each an unclassified misdemeanor.

A person must be 18 years old or older and legally allowed to purchase a firearm under state and federal law to purchase a firearm barrel, subject to certain exceptions.

The bill requires a federally licensed firearm dealer to record a sale or transfer of a firearm barrel for at least 5 years.

The bill requires the Colorado bureau of investigation to create a form for federally licensed firearm dealers to record a sale or transfer of a firearm barrel.

There sure are a lot of people who fail to understand what "shall not be infringed" means, and those people are exactly the reason we have the 2nd Amendment.

No sir, it's not a firearm barrel.

It's an air rifle barrel that also fits on some firearms.

Commies don't care and they will fight it every step of the way and ignore it even if SCOTUS rules against them

It seems to me that a pipe is just a pipe until it’s attached to a device in such a manner that a projectile can be fired through it. Barrel? That’s just a hollow tube, old man.

criminalizing person-to-person sales w/o going through an FFL is unenforceable but having to fill out a 4473 for a new barrel from a local or online parts shop is crazy authoritarian. CO has a real hard-on against "ghost guns" and this is part of that war for them

Colorado is where the liberals who could afford to leave California moved to. And it shows.

several years ago Michelle Malkin wrote a piece about how the leftist takeover of colorado was their blueprint and test case for the rest of the country. it started when they instituted mail in voting and we know how that worked out...

Your comment made me think a bit differently for a moment (definitely something I should do more often) - Aren't "ghost guns" ultimately firearms? And, if so, aren't they protected under the 2nd Amendment as well? I mean, in my eyes they fall under that "shall not be infringed" category that the Left has long trampled all over.

But how many lives will be ruined waiting for SCOTUS to act? Should they actually choose to act (lately you have to wonder)

They should have the same rules for sex toys as firearms
