I have never posted on MBB and I certainly come in peace for all the BB gurus here but here is the question from a non Basketball fan but supports LSU.

Why after 4 yrs hasnt the program improved?

Not enough money ?

LSU isnt a BB school so there is hardly any interest regardless?

Don't want to come to play for the coach ?

Is he terrible?

Admins?

You would think enough money would get elite players regardless no?

Explain it like im 7

We have one of the highest paid rosters in the country. No excuse for this team not to be a top 25 team. But our HC can’t scout and/or develop talent.

Because McMahon doesn't belong in the SEC.

The McMen will never admit that EVERYTHING in this is interrelated.

Basketball is third fiddle but can easily be second fiddle even at LSU. It was in the past and arguably was first during the CJ Shaq years and archer and Curley taking football down.

They need a coach willing to hit the ground hard beating up every bush to build support. I have NEVER seen McMahon at anything. Jay Johnson after the first NC was still doing the circuit. Hell Lane FRIGGIN Kiffin was speaking at the business bureau breakfast. Kiffins staff posts pictures of EVERY school they visit.

That’s how you uncover talent AND that’s how you get money donated to buy talent.

On top of that he’s a poor floor coach.

Seemingly against all odds, Scott Woodward was able to hire a coach with the charisma of Trent Johnson and the coaching ability of Johnny Jones. Then, after it was glaringly obvious it wasn’t going to work out, Woodward decided to bring him back for a fourth year to the rousing cheers of dozens.

Because our basketball staff is full of a bunch of “nice guys”

All of these McMahon teams have been soft and less physical

Head coach sucks, players are mid, and it doesn’t look like we watch any film or doing any sort of game planning

Players are soft, un-athletic, can’t shoot, no handles, and low bb IQ. I don’t care who coaches them, you can’t win with bottom of the barrel players!

He did not really throw that much more money at it… Because LSU wasn’t that low relative to the SEC in spending before. That excuse was just BS to cover for the real reason McMahon got a fourth year. Woodward and Tate were going to do whatever possible to combat the push for Wade to return.

That’s why Scott is at home watching the 50th season of Survivor

Who recruited them? Who is attempting to develop them? Who's offensive and defensive philosophies are they using? Does it not reflect on the coach?
