No doubt

FYI:

The iconic "Eye of the Tiger" midfield logo at LSU's Tiger Stadium was created by Gerald Bower, a former professor who ran the graphic design program at LSU.
While it is one of the most recognizable logos in college sports, its presence on the field has varied over the decades:
Introduction: The logo was first introduced in the early 1980s.
Removal and Reinstatement: In 1995, head coach Gerry DiNardo replaced the eye with the letters "LSU". The "Eye of the Tiger" was officially brought back to midfield by head coach Nick Saban when he took over in 1999.

Outfield graphics in baseball usually turn out tacky

Also LSU baseball typically doesn’t use the eye for its insignia or branding

It absolutely is! I'm so glad we have a competent crew handling this!

I know it's dumb for it to bother me but I've never understood why Florida doesn't either paint green over the yard lines or not paint yard lines at all in their midfield logo! It just looks stupid...which tracks since it's Florida!

Prepare to be shocked when you Google "LSU baseball gear with eye of the tiger logo"

Granted, many items may not be specifically baseball related, but few things are to 1 sport.

There should never be any logo painted in a baseball OF...That looks tacky and dumb.

Agreed, it looks fine for softball but it's a no from me as far as baseball.

There are certain things like this, black pants, organized dugout cheers, and face masks that are okay for softball but don't belong in baseball.

I wish some schools like Tennessee, Kentucky, and Vandy would pay attention!

Totally disagree.

Leave it isolated to football since that's where it originated. Also, as others have said, it wouldn't look good on a baseball field. Plus, I like the interlocking "LSU" mark used for baseball.

No. LSU baseball has it's own iconic logo with the staircase.
And outfield logos are for the gays and softball fields.

The only thing I’m shocked about his how many “fans” are new to LSU baseball

The eye has never been a prominent part of the team’s identity or insignia. It works for other sports, but it needs to stay away from baseball. What we already have with the interlocking diagonal is the most perfect logo on campus

Never heard it referred to as that, nor do I believe half of LSU fans understand what that actually means.

disagree with CF, but maybe it could look good where we have the LSU behind home plate? I personally prefer this LSU baseball logo here, but I could see the eye looking nice right here.

The eye of the Tiger looked best when Coach Saban was at LSU. The angle was perfect. The eye lately has looked with an angle that too flat.

I think the field logo is great but I absolutely hate the version they use for shirts and hats. Comes out looking like an ink blot.

OK for football gridiron and basketball court but never on a baseball field. With regard to baseball they should clean up outfield fence by getting rid of all those tacky playground type advertising sign eyesores.
