Not surprising. We have to many weak kneed conservatives that don't understand how to win a fight. Optics is more important than winning when you know you are in the right.
On another note..."freedom of press" is one thing, but I think maintaining a legit perimeter around LE doing their job needs to be established. Even for "press". One thing is a couple of them but damn it's now a hoard of annoyance getting in the way, and then they complain if they get hurt in the mix up.

However, part of me is sad because I was hoping that Tampon Tim would be stupid enough to deploy the National Guard and tell them to interfere with ICE. Probably best for the country in the long run that did not happen but it would have been fun to watch.

Completely agree, it provides cover for attacks on the LEO as well, like throwing objects.
