It really shows how worthless Brian Kelly was. He fired Darante Jones, Blake Baker and Corey Raymond, just to bring them all back to fix his defense. He’d had a title if he had left the defensive staff alone.

I can't really blame him for wanting to clean house in a regime change and he had a pretty damn good track record hiring DCs. House was weird too because in year one it seemed like a damn good hire and then it all went to shite.
steeples was just a horrible hire. Again, can't fault him too much for wanting new blood but if you're going to run off raymond, bringing a guy with that resume made little sense.

Franklin High. He was the DB coach for one year, and took over the defensive play calling by game 4.

House wasnt the problem, his talent was. Go back and rewatch the games. House would call zone and DBs were lost on who to cover or who to pass off too. So many busted plays that yeae because of awful communication.
Remember, House had a top 30 defense with 39 scholarship players.
