Gotta love when the weather panic sets in. Random thought threads start pouring in.

Brevard

I worked one summer at a camp(s) just outside of Brevard and visited it some afterwards. I love that area.

I would have thought the area would be more used to ice situations than that hurricane/tropical storm that sat on top of them. Do they not normally have some bad ice situations during the winter? I have only been there during the summertime and also for a spring break during college.

I'm in the Piedmont of NC. Central. All we've gotten is sleet with a little tiny bit of snow to begin with. The sleet is almost like snow on the ground. Looks like snow. And it's pretty grippy like snow.

We haven't gotten any freezing rain thank goodness.. hopefully we don't get any.

Not many power outages around our local counties. Maybe 100.

Not too bad of a situation at all here right now I guess. I'd have no problem driving in this. The power companies do an amazing job around here at trimming trees around power lines too. That helps a lot.

Dr. Josh on WBRZ even explained to viewers that if ice forms on roads it will take warmer temperatures to melt it. Brilliant!!

We are 7 miles south, as the crow flies, of the WNC border and even here it’s an ice rink. I don’t have my winter gear here so I may be making some red neck crampons with zip ties.

There’s a segment of the population that like to invite illegals into the country, pay taxes so they can have all kinds of free shite while suffering through multiple years of 15% inflation and 50-75% increase in housing costs, endless increases in health care costs, then go to protest for said illegals and resist arrest while armed and try to run over cops.

They’re not smart, they need certain common sense things explained to them.

Seems to be speaking for everybody, but referring to their own personal situation in their own backyard
