Best deals for Bey, Missi, and Alvarado

We obviously need to acquire assets for this year's draft. I'm sure Dumars also thinks it would be nice if we could do that and somehow not put ourselves into a top-4 pick that would embarrass him even more.

As we start to approach the trade deadline, every report continually says that Zion, Herb, Trey, and the rooks are not being shopped. (I'm sure that this thread will fill up with complaints about that, but I am hoping some of you will make useful posts.) And, of course, some kind of trash-for-trash trade is possible with Murray and/or Poole, but neither of them has positive value. That leaves Bey, Missi, and Alvarado as the three players we have who have positive value on the trade market.

I'm curious which of them y'all think are most likely to go out, and what kind of returns you think could be expected.

I have zero expectation that this team will do anything positive to halt or even slow down their painful decent into irrelevance.

Sorry if it's not a useful post, but historically speaking, why should I not feel like this.

Trading away fringe guys isn't going to do much big dawg.

Do you really want the guy that probably just made the worse trade in the last decade, outside of the Luka deal of course, making more trades?

Kinda hoping our pick hits number one and Pacers pick hits 5 just so there’s more outrage and Dumars gets canned so we can get a real gm that will bring in his own coach.

Or just hire Mike Malone and let him pick his own gm. I rather get people who know what they are doing.

The most obvious and logical move is to trade Zion and get back into the first round (to sort of make up for one of the worst trades of all time). But we know Dumars like Griff was before him is too stupid to do so.

Also, you can maybe trade Missi, Jose, and Bey to help the rebuild. But if they do it’s gonna be for players that don’t fit whatever they are trying to do.

Of course this would be the most obvious answer and possible 100% consensus from fans on here. Unfortunately, this is a near impossibility with the current ownership.

No clue what the expected return would be but I’d guess Missi would have the most value. Young, athletic,, still fairly raw and from what I’ve read, is very coachable with a good attitude. I’d like to think we could get a first but would likely have to be a team picking in the 20’s or later.

Problem is every team knew/knows that 2026 is a great draft class (making the Queen trade even more idiotic), so I doubt we’ll get much of anything for our fringe guys. Maybe a 2027 pick or something.

Agree, but not sure that even gets the idiot fired. Malone not coming to this dumpster fire.

Queen is great and I am glad we have him. I think he is a strong core piece that is a potential future all-star/game changing player.

So while people want to complain about the trade. We ended up with two awesome rookies that are starter quality.

I think the team needs to hold on to Bey, Murphy, and Jones. They are the pieces needed for a competent team.

The only real question is trading Zion and what does the team want for him.
