In the middle of this they call a “heat delay” (never has existed ever in tennis) and sinner gets 30 minutes in the locker room to recover and they close the roof as well . That completely ruins the entire point of tennis. We don’t get breaks. We don’t get replacements. Etc. If you are spent physically you lose. Part of it


Also of note, I have no clue what illegal drugs they gave sinner in that break. I have full body cramped for multiple matches (every tennis player has). There isn’t a normal IV on the world that can have you back to normal like sinner was when he came back out after that break

90’s tennis is better than today’s tennis.

This has been protocol at the Australian Open for seven years now. They didn’t just pull this out of their arse like a couple people here are making it seem.

Sure, it doesn’t make it not legit though

You don’t get to not follow protocol just because the timing might be perceived as sketchy.

I found when all I thought about was politics and religion, the world (sports and everything else) just became politics and religion.

It's considered one of the four majors but even when I used to be pretty into tennis back in 80's and 90's it was an afterthought for me. It's seems forced just because it's listed as a major. I will still watch some of the other 3 majors but I seldom if ever watch any of the Australian.
