If married with children, how long were you married before first child was born?

Negative years included!
If could do it again, would you do it any differently?
Seven then twelve years here. Plan was five years but making baby was not as quick or easy as we assumed.
The good - enabled us time to start building financial investment portfolio that has been incredibly important for opportunities for the kids across their lives. Enabled full time Mom for kids’ lives, as well.
The challenge - although tomorrow is promised to no one, starting later means likelihood of knowing grandkids deep into their early adulthood may be unlikely.
To say, five years probably would have been better looking backward but nature spoke.

Some folks want to travel the world when they first get married.
Only travel we did was the honeymoon.
I do recommend The Caves in Jamaica.
Fine place to create kids.

But we dated for 6.5 years before getting married. So in total together over 8 years before first kid
ETA: Our first was born in fall of 2022. Just when the world was getting back to normal. Would have liked a year or two to travel before kids, but life has its ways

About 6 months before he was born. Divorced a year later. I raised him aline for 13 years before I met the one who was right and excelled in every way, making my life and his exponentially better.

That is quite a spread! If I went again, it'd be 17yrs... I'm tired. Can't do it.
