Compared with Penn st incoming with Coach and outgoing with Franklin to Va Tech
Did it mean he didn’t see much of upgrade with rest of team

The staff getting an extra 3 weeks with the players while they were in the playoffs had a lot to do with it.

They selected who the targets were

A lot of that is bc Ole Miss paid absolute top dollar to keep the roster together as much as they could. They couldn't risk any more perception that LSU was raiding their entire football program, so they did things like paying their RB $3M. We still got high caliber WR, OL, LB, and Edge. We got 40 something portal additions already, so it's okay to be a little picky.

Man I hope this isn't a criticism. We are gonna have on paper the best transfer class of all time. I'm sure they wanted Lacy but CLK has been killing it.

maybe we got the only ones we wanted!

More probably would have if they hadn’t made such a run.

I mean, getting their leading tackler and leading sack guy/All-SEC defensive lineman is pretty big. The young OL and WR were exciting prospects that they didn't want to lose either.
They paid so much for Lacy and Chambliss (if granted another year), that getting them was probably not realistic.

We got more than I thought we would

He got who he wanted my man

I mean he got ole miss’s leading tackler, sack leader, freshman WR with 400+ REC yards, and a talented freshman IOL who was in line to start for them next year. I’d say that’s pretty good

None of those other teams in that situation made it to the semi finals of the playoffs while also paying some of their best players ridiculous money to stay.

The only players they kept that CLK wanted were QB. RB. And maybe the WR. He took who he wanted for the most part.

Ole Miss hired quickly so no who is the coach time

It’s absolutely outstanding what he’s done in such a short amount of time.
Idk how the depth will look, but he’s gotten the starting roster in position to make a run in year 1.
That has exceeded my expectations to say the least.

I thought Coach K retired.

Nobody gives a shite what you think. He hauled in the #1 class in the country. Who do you think Ole Miss has that he covets?
