Here's a bit of trivia about the actor Wayne Knight, aka Newman on Seinfeld

Was watching Five Nights at Freddy's 2 a few weeks ago and noticed he was in it. I had not seen him in anything in a while.

Like Spielberg couldn't have picked up a phone and found out? OK, I guess.

Just looked him up and he’s looking like Stephen Root these days.

I mean, if he watched the whole movie, it would've taken more time and effort to go find the nearest available phone and make a call than to sit through maybe a minute or two of credits to find his name.

My kids liked it. It's not my cup of tea.

Right. What gets me is that the other Freddy's pizza was in the same town and the lead actress could ride her bike there. But then the older brother who lived in the town his entire life never knew it existed. Kinda like one knowing there was a Chuck E Cheese on Siegen but no clue they had one at Sherwood even though you lived in Baton Rouge since the 70s. Just lazy writing. Sorry. Off my soapbox.

I read somewhere he was originally supposed to be George on Seinfeld.

Back when Jurassic Park came out, I used to argue he was one of the most famous people in the world. Everyone watched Seinfeld, so all Americans knew who he was. But it was a huge international success - including Asia - so many more people than usual would have known who this otherwise obscure bit player was.

quote:never heard anything about Knight for George's role. Jerry's comic friend who played a small role in one or two episodes was originally strongly considered.
