My wife wants to move to White Castle

She has a great aunt that lives there and the house next door to her aunt is for sale. What is there to do in White Castle? Only place I've ever been in White Castle is go get some beer from Double Cats off LA 1 passing through on my way to Pierre Part
Update: She has convinced me to go and tour the house this Friday. Does anybody have any suggestions as to where I should go besides the infamous "Double Cats." Definitely gonna have to stop there and get a beer though. Lowkey like the vibes in that place.

I just looked it up
Pros: You'd probably be the most prominent resident immediately.
Cons: Everything else?

man, white castle is just the saddest place. unless you're getting a bunch of land wayyyyy off the main road that you set up your own thing, hard no. There's nothing redeeming there.

You've seen 80% of White Castle. You should be able to deduce what there is to do by the drive down 69 which isn't too much.

Where do you currently live? If you're coming from BR that will seem like more of a major change than moving from another small town across the river.

Would move to Plaquemine.
There is literally nothing in White Castle besides a gas station and small family run grocery mart

Do you like to hunt, fish, frog , etc? Depend, depending upon where you live, you can pretty much hunt in the backyard. There’s several large hunting clubs in that area that kill nice deer, pigs, and rabbits. There are a ton of wood ducks in the swamps too. If you launch your boat in the White Castle Canal, it’s a straight shot to the Belle River/Lake Vet area. Depending upon the type of boat, it’s a 15–30 minute run. Beautiful trip. It’s extremely quiet out in the country. There are no restaurants and the grocery store is average. I would not consider living “in town“, but if it’s out in the country there are certain appeal aspects of the area. There are some in the area that’s seeing their kids to Catholic elementary schools in Baton Rouge, as well as Catholic high and SJA. Others send them to Ascension Catholic and Donaldsonville or St. John in Plaquemine. If you don’t want to send your kid to a Catholic school, the STEM Academy in Plaquemine is top-notch.
