Miami got beat. 2 main reasons

1. #87 should in no way ever be on a field again. His absolute pussy non block allowed the blocked punt. What on earth does he think hes there for? Completely quit on his team
2. #24 on Miami's D. Just an all around horrible game at corner. Very soft cushion on most plays, then total abuse when in man.

Is this Carson Beck?

Game would not have been close had the refs not kept miami in it during the 1st half.

Nah...Beck had his share, as all qbs do during the course of game.
Playcalling for Miami was VERY weak and too conservative in 1st half.

The fact that Beck got a ticky-tack RTP call during the most decisive drive of the game when the game was guaranteed to end in a Miami cover and after Mendoza was beat up all night long with no flags shows me who the fix was in for.

I mean number 6 didn't exactly do much either.....
But why try a rugby style punt in that situation? Seems foolish.

Miami lost because Indiana, more than any team I've ever seen, plays nearly perfect football. They don't make mistakes, they don't take penalties, they are judicious with their decision making and they can execute cleanly. It's a hell of high standard.
To beat a team like that, you either need to play as cleanly as they do or generate several splash plays to take advantage of what little they'll give you.
Miami played great ball for a large stretch of the game and almost matched IU's mistake free play and was one more splash play away from a win.
In the end, Miami was put in a pressure situation because of one mistake. When pressure mounts like that, you don't rise to the level of your ability, you fall to the level of your preparation. In the end, Indiana was just better prepared for the moment than Miami. The other details are just evidence of that.

6 was supposed to release. His job is coverage.
87 is a gigantic vag and will not be on team

That is how their punter actually punts. 87 had one job to do and only one man to block and he failed miserably.

He barely put a hand on him which it looks like he was supposed to.
And again....why do a rugby style punt there.

Miami on offense was an absolute nightmare in the 2nd half.
I can't get over why Miami was trying to run up the middle in 2st half. Worst OC execution I've seen recently
Indiana is a great team and deserves credit.
Gameplay was simple when passing...find #24 and throw his direction

Beck throwing an interception to end his career was the most Beck Thing Beck ever did.

I understand that. I personally would have used a traditional punter in that situation.

Just relying on athletes and talent…no scheming to beat the defense or confuse the offense.., basically beat the guy in front of you because you better

It seems as though they done it all year, not sure.
I agree though....giving a punter the liberty of taking too long is fricking stupid. I have no clue what a rugby type kick accomplishes.
The block was the difference in the game, period

It was mindnumbingly bad. Saban even called it out at halftime.
Once they got more creative in the 2nd half, they were basically able to move the ball at will.

Meh, he did enough to win 90% of games. But yes, bad read at the end. Honestly, I saw him throw a few passes where receivers weren't looking....for some wierd reason.
24 made sure Indiana stayed in it.

Those short yardage calls were the worst calls I've watched all year. There was zero reason. Indiana was jamming all down linemen inside, and using backers to cover the edges. Run to the fricking edges, at minimum
