I have never heard of this show and I recently received an emal newsletter from Netflix stating that this show is back on Netflix
It looks pretty cool. Has anyone checked it out before? I guess it originally came out in 2013

Yeah it’s excellent. I was bummed when it was cancelled. There’s one episode in particular that had me shook.

I think the last season came out in 2013.
Great show. Remember watching it on NBC/TNT. It was the first big show for Ben Mackenzie, after playing Ryan on The OC.

Does this have a satisfying conclusion? It was a canceled show so I’m curious.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, but I think it had a solid ending. I don’t remember there being like a big cliffhanger that wasn’t resolved, or it ending too abruptly.
ETA: just looked it up, and the final episode aired back in April of 2013. I can’t believe it’s been that long. We old af.

My dad hated almost all modern TV shows and movies but he loved this show!
Southland is TV at it's finest and most cinematic. Brilliant acting and writing!

Watched it when it first came out and did a rewatch prior to netflix. Will do another watch. It is one of my favorite crime series.

fair assessment and I don't get that complimentary about TV shows very often.
Will never understand why TNT cancelled it. OR how it didn't make the cut on NBC. Guess it wasn't woke enough for the raging agenda driven shows like Law and Order.
