Thinking I want to get a pair of wood ducks mounted (drake and hen) for the game room..

I mounted two drakes last year. Duckman Taxidermy in Ponchatoula. He did a great job.

But of a drive but Fowl Stuffer Taxidermy has a Drake Can for me right now. Check out his FB. Charges 375 and honestly should charge what Sonny does

Kevin Hynes in Pearl River is worth the trip. Sonny Amato has mounted 6-7 birds for me. Good guy but I switched about 10 years ago after noticeable quality decline. He did a mottled duck for me and the paint (not airbrush) on the beak was so bad I considered having it redone. He also took like a year to turn burns around and his price increased significantly over that time frame.
I’m not a taxidermy expert by any means, so I feel like if I can notice quality issues, something is wrong.
