Explain Dylan Raiola’s decision to me

He was a guaranteed returning starter at Nebraska and decided to leave for Oregon and now sit the bench.
Did Lannng lie to him?
Was Moore telling Oregon he was going pro then change his mind after signing Raiola?

Lanning never lied to him, there was always a possibility of Moore coming back
It's likely he convinced Dylan to sit a year just like what Dante did when he transferred in
Eta: he was never going back to Nebraska under any circumstances, his family wore out their welcome with the program this year

He acts like he is Mahomes. A grown man (loosely used term) acting like another grown man.
Why are you surprised with his dumb decision making?

It is puzzling that a two-year starter would agree to be a backup. I thought he would look elsewhere after Moore said he is returning.

He may have been asked to leave Nebraska depending on how big of a diva he was. They had no problem firing his uncle before he had officially entered the portal.

If he wants to play for a title contender or improve his potential to be drafted, Oregon is a much better situation than Nebraska. Even if he’s got to redshirt and be the backup for a year.

Lanning filled him full of shite.

Nebraska situation was done. He's thinking there was a slim chance he could take over this year or backup a season and take over next year like Dante Moore backed up Gabriel for a season. It's probably a rare good decision from the Raiola camp. He's not a NFL prospect as a yet and he probably wasn't getting giant offers to take over at bigtime college programs.

He saw Mahomes was out for the year and decided to do the same in solidarity.

He got hurt and didn't finish the season and I thought he might not be healthy/recovered enough to start the next season, so sitting a year and getting healthy is not the worst thing.
That's what I had heard but maybe wrong.
Biggest indictment on this guy is I think that once he was out Nebraska didn't even really notice a huge dropoff.

Wasn't his father an AA at Nebraska? I would think it would be hard to do that but if they did, congrats for ruining a legacy where his family was loved 24 months ago

I don’t have one of those.
But, Lanning a count.
He’s an angry version of that dork from OSU who went to Texas.
Dan Lanning is the exact type of person to fall down using a sledgehammer to look cool.
