Devastating blow for this team
And it doesn’t sound like he will be back anytime soon
This team had promise with him running the show

All teams suffer injuries. He should have been better prepared.

Felling sorry for him. Dude can’t coach or recruit. Another bad hire with longterm deal. Get over it.

Hopefully, this is McMahon’s last season at LSU.

Should be 2-1 without DJ. Can’t feel sorry for a guy who doesn’t belong at this level

I feel sorry for Thomas. He could have gone to a real team, played in the NCAA tournament and elevated his draft stock.

This happens every year. We count on a super star and he goes down and then we are fricked the rest of the season. How does this happen every year? How does this not happen to anyone else?

Why didn’t he? Maybe he wanted to come here.

I feel sorry for him simply because he sucks at his job.

This type of thing has happened for many teams. One good example is Scott May of Indiana going down with an injury the year before virtually the same team went undefeated with a healthy Scott May to go with Quinn Buckner, Kent Benson and the others.

No way that excuses the South Carolina loss.

He’s still made 12mill$ so far and owed 12 more. Feel sorry for me my credit cards are maxed out for Christmas, my kids care insurance is 240$ a month, and I got to go to work Monday.

I feel bad for him, because someone had to be the sacrificial lamb after the WW firing.

How would Wade have fared if he lost Tremont Waters in either of his two seasons?

Everyone's suffering will be over when the season ends and McMahon is replaced.

The McMahon horse is dead so quit whipping it.

Wade would have fared better than this DUNCE Art Schlicter. He lost his starting PG (Pinson) a few years back (granted not as good as Tremont), stumbled a bit and got in the tournament COMFORTABLY.

Ya see Art, good coaches win REGULARLY, Matt McMahon has people like you wiping his arse and making excuses.

True, that CMM is responsible to find a way to cope without Thomas, but Thomas is irreplaceable and important to this team, because they don't have the depth. Reece is improving, but the drop-off to Reece is large. The offense is okay at times without Thomas, but it is much better with Thomas, because he can create offense on his own, and is by far the best at creating for everyone else, plus he does this while making very few mistakes. CMM built the roster, and you can criticize him for that, but given what he has to work with, it would be touch for any coach to prepare for this.

It’s definitely unfortunate and will most likely cost him his job but in year four when you’ve had the dismal record he has had there aren’t any excuses that will work

Team shouldn’t have been dependent on a single player.
